Check Presentation to Market Street Elementary

The Club was proud to donate an $1,100 check to music teacher, Bob Pavalko from Market Street Elementary that was used to purchase a new technology cart for their mobile classroom. The Cart will be used between Market Street and West Boulevard Elementary Schools for special classes such as Music and Art. The Cart will be able to integrate technology and other necessities.

Annual Christmas Party

Mark your calendar ... Annual Rotary Christmas Party is coming!

When: Friday, December 1st

6pm cocktails / 7pm dinner

Where: The Four Square Club

Mark your calendar for an evening of fellowship and laughter! Do you have to wear an ugly sweater … “no”. However there will be a vote taken for the Ugliest Sweater of the evening with prizes and recognition. So, dig out that sweater!!!

The cost for cocktails, dinner and dessert is $20 per person. A buffet of food from the MVR will be provided … and a dessert table directly from the North Pole. Feel free to sign up a guest and introduce them to the fun spirit of Boardman Rotary. A sign up sheet will be available on Tuesday at the meeting.

Pancake Festival Announcement

It's never too early to start talking about our next Fundraiser which is the Pancake Festival in March.

Jill Cox, Jen Roberts, John Brkic are working on chairing the event. Additionally Josh Aiken and Mandi Moran will be working on sponsorships for the event. This year we will also be adding a "Pancake 5K" to the event.

Please save the dates for the event: March 17, 18, 24, 25. The 5K will take place on Saturday, March 24.

Rotary Foundation Donations

This is the last week to make a foundation donation for the month of November as we recognize the Rotary Foundation!

In November, we recognize the Rotary Foundation. If each Boardman Rotary member is able to donate $12 during the month of November, our Club could donate an additional $1,000 to the Polio Plus program.

If you would like to donate to the Rotary Foundation, please contact Gregg Riddle.

Salvation Army Bell Ringing

We will once again be ringing bells for the Salvation Army beginning the week after Thanksgiving. Please sign up for times to help raise money for the Salvation Army during the holiday season.

Holiday Food Baskets

We will again be giving out Holiday Food Baskets/Bags this year. In addition to our normal money available for this event, we have received some District Grant Money to be able to give out approximately 80 Food Baskets as compared to our normal 50 Food Baskets.

Food Baskets will be delivered on Sunday, December 17 at 9AM.
