The Rotary Club of Boardman proudly provided four community organizations with donations on June 30, 2015. The donations totaled $5,334.
The first check presentation was in the amount of $300 to Easter Seals for the Margaritaville Fundraiser
The second presentation was in the amount of $584 to Mill Creek Children's Center for the purchase of flutophones for their music program, which helps children ages 18 months to five years.
The third check presentation was in the amount of $3,000 to Boardman Park to go toward the purchase of new chairs in the Lariccia Family Community Center.
The fourth and final check presentation was in the amount of $1,450 and given to Market Street Elementary.
Congratulations to the three individuals who, on Tuesday, June 30, were granted the Paul Harris Fellow recognition. An individual is recognized as a Paul Harris Fellow after contributing $1,000 to The Rotary Foundation. The contribution can be made in one sum or by cumulative giving over a number of years. Individuals can make a personal contribution or the contribution can be from a club, a company or business.
As part of the annual Paul Harris Lottery held by Boardman Rotary, two individuals were granted the high honor. The first, Jay Summer, received his in honor of his late mother, Helen Summer. Penny Summer received the second. The third individual granted the Paul Harris Fellow was Lee Monit for his service and contributions to the Boardman Rotary Club Foundation.
