Stories Program: Pastor Dan Tayman Pastor Dan Tayman, chaplain for Senior Independence Home Health Care and Hospice, spoke to the club about the gift of the senior population at the Jan. 19, 2016.    Tayman said that the senior population gives us three gifts: honesty, history and legacy, noting that we should give seniors three gifts in return: time, love and tenderness. He also shared stories of the people he has encountered while working as a chaplain in hospice care, giving life to the individuals who have helped shaped our legacies.    Read more... Literacy Projects Deb Liptak presented two opportunities to participate in literacy projects around the community.    Project MORE at Market Street Elementary is a hands-on literacy project that requires one hour of mentoring and tutoring special needs children. There will be two training sessions: Jan. 13 at 9 a.m. and Jan. 14 at 6 p.m. The project will last through the school year.     Little Free Library:will be built and installed by Boardman Park. Volunteers are needed to monitor the library. Volunteers would check the box regularly to assure that books are always stocked in the little free library, and that all content is appropriate for all ages.     Please see Deb to sign up.  Read more...
