Thank You to Joe Trevino from the Ohio Department of Veterans Services for joining us at today's meeting. Joe spent time sharing information about the ODVS Workforce Outreach program. His office serves as the primary ODVS liaison to all public and private employers in Ohio with an interest in hiring veterans.

 

Serving in that capacity, they provide consultation and veteran employment education presentations aimed at assisting employer recruiting, human resources, and management teams. They then track and establish direct liaison with Veteran Employee Resource Groups within employers for the purpose of ensuring direct communication of the State of Ohio Veteran Benefits. They provide one-on- or group education for employer human resources staff and senior management, support to veteran employee resource groups. connections to veteran applications via OhioMeansJobs, National Guard Employment Enhancement program, and more.
