Thank you to Becky Keck, executive director of SMARTS, a non-profit community arts school in Youngstown.
SMARTS is a community-based art school which seeks to motivate students to succeed in all areas of life by teaching them the discipline and focus that creating art takes. SMARTS offers classes in visual arts, music, dance, theater, and creative writing.
Keck noted that significant growth is anticipated to happen this fall as course load will be doubled, offering even more classes to the children of the Mahoning Valley. Keck credits the community and its support with the continued growth of the school.
