Program: Brian Tolnar, PGA, Director of Golf, MCMP
Brian Tolnar, director of golf for Mill Creek Golf Course, gave an overview of the course and some of its recent updates.
Some of the updates include:
- south course outing tent
- new tournament leaderboard
- Lightning Alert Weather Siren System
- New drainage on north and south courses
- newly updated fieldhouse, golf shop, restaurant and lobby
- New food and beverage area at Wick Recreation
- Ladies Golf School
- Continued bunker restoration
The course has continued its junior golf program, which provides instruction to young golfers in a laid-back atmosphere. Instruction is also provided to adults, providing through clinics for both junior players and adults, men and women.
This year has also ushered in a partnership with the American Junior Golf Association, an organization dedicated to the overall growth and development of young men and women who aspire to earn college golf scholarships through competitive junior golf. It is part of the Junior All-Star Tournament Series, of which only 15 are held nationally.
