Easter Seals exists to help people with disabilities live independent lives. There are 74 organizations across the United States, including five alone in the state of Ohio.

The local organization offers pediatric services, including physical, speech and occupational therapies, audiology services, education and daycare. The pediatric services are a large part of the services offered by Easter Seals, though it is not limited to serving children. Easter Seals also offers a number of adult services. Among them are meal services, adult day care, senior transportation to adult day care and physical, speech and occupational therapies. Easter Seals works with Youngstown Hearing and Speech to provide the Community for the Deaf. This service provides interpreters for the deaf community in the area.
